William Burgess

Mr. Burgess, better known as "W.C." passed away Monday, July 11, 2011 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, he was preceded in death by his parents Claude W.& Lela Wallace Burgess. He retired from Fiber Industries after 25 years of service where he worked as a supervisor in Security. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Earl, a member of the Ruritan Club and a charter member of the Number Three Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Burgess is survived by his wife, Helen Burgess of the home; two sons, Bobby Burgess of Gastonia, NC, and Jerry Hudson of Atlanta, Georgia;and three grandchildren, Laura Ball, Kristi Applegate and Joey Burgess. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Russ Bradley & Rev. Broadus Heatherly.
