A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Willis Henry & Omie Wilder Brown.
She retired from Fiber Industries after 20 years of service. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Ben McWhirter, daughters & their husbands, Sandra M. Hamrick & Steven, Randi W. Bunting & Clark, grandchildren, Craig & Matthew Hamrick, Clark Bunting II & wife, Daniella; Jennifer Parks & husband Hunter; Jacob & Joshua Bunting and a sister, Shirley Morris.
