Virginia Davis

Virginia B. Davis, 85, of 2526 South White Oak Drive in Shelby, passed away on May 21, 2013, at home.

She was born on Dec. 23, 1927. Mrs. Davis retired from Fiber Industries Inc. as a filament drawing operator and attended Dover Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W. B. Bivins and Mattie McCurry Bivins; daughter, Charlotte Smith; brothers, Curtis Bivins, G. W. Bivins, Earl Bivins and Richard Bivins; and sister, Novella McCoy.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Doug Davis and Suzie of Shelby; daughter, Lois Nanney of Shelby; sister, Clara Lemmons of Shelby; son-in-law, Bob Smith of Shelby; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
