Theodore Woods

Mr. Ted Woods, 90, of Shelby, NC passed away on March 2, 2012 at his home.  He was the son of the late William Woods & Sarah Jackson Woods.  He was the owner/manager of several different grocery stores. He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, a Gideon and loved gardening.



In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by twin daughters Linda Faye & Glenda Kay Woods; son, Kenneth Woods, three brothers, Effie Woods, Woodrow Woods & Willie B. Woods and two sisters, Jody Wright & Jewel Towery and a half sister Louise Huskins.



He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patsy Cordell Woods, son Alan Woods & wife Kathie of Shelby;

daughter Sandra Hamrick of Shelby; brothers R. L. Woods & wife Nancy of Alabama, brothers Jim Woods and Clyde Woods of Georgia;  grandchildren, Angel Poston  and husband Jeremy, Daniel Dain, Joseph Dain & wife Magen, Maryann Preston & husband Terry and Gene Woods & wife Jennifer; great grandchildren Anthony Poston, Megan Poston, Tyler Woods, Harley Woods, Brysen Dain, Andrew Dain, Jesse Skelton, Autumn Preston; daughter-in-law Deborah Woods; half brothers Johnny Woods, Billy Woods, Bobby Woods, Marshall Woods of Georgia, and a nephew Tommy Wright.
