Samantha Michelle Anthony

Samantha Michelle Anthony, age 23 of Shelby, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.

Born July 23, 2001, in Shelby, NC, Samantha was the daughter of Mark Thompson Anthony and Angela Oaks Anthony. Samantha is survived by her grandparents, Rachel Oaks of Shelby, NC, David and Blonnie Oaks of Shelby, NC, Jerry “Bubba” Anthony of Boiling Springs, NC, Annette Anthony of Shelby, NC, two of her faithful friends, Cassidy Vause and Laura Sullens, and her faithful furry cat, Pepperoni. Samantha is preceded in death by her grandparents, Everette and Tommie Scism of Polkville, NC.

Samantha enjoyed playing in the orchestra, being on stage for drama theatre, and working on numerous types of crafts. Samantha graduated from Shelby High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in Theatre at the University of Greensboro North Carolina. She always volunteered at the Church during VBS and played her violin during Sunday services. Samantha also liked to volunteer at Cleveland Vocation Industries for day support groups. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

A funeral service will be held 3:00pm Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Flint Hill Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Shane Kirby and Rev. Keith Dixon. A visitation will be held from 2:00pm – 3:00pm prior to the service at Flint Hill Baptist Church. A burial will be held at 11:00am Monday, June 30, 2025, at Cleveland Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Flint Hill Baptist Church, 2207 Flint Hill Church Road, Shelby NC 28152.

Pallbearers will be David Oaks, Chase Oaks, Davey Oaks, Cole Flowers, Tommy Flowers, and Joey Honeycutt II.
