Ruby Packard

Mrs. Ruby Packard, 95, of Shelby was received by her Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, May 14, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Crawford Matheny, Sr. & Sarah Jones Matheny. She was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church and a member of the Darcus Sunday school class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty years, Marion M. Packard; a son, Steven M. Packard and an infant daughter.



She is survived by three sons, Vick Packard & wife, Sandy of Shelby, Frank Packard & wife, Kathy of Todd, and Ed Packard of Shelby; daughter-in-law, Carol Packard of Shelby; grandchildren, Rick Packard of Shelby, Vick Packard, II of Winterville &  Jodi of Winterville, Paul Packard & wife, Kelly of Hickory, Randal Packard & wife, Emily of Morrisville, Jeremy Packard & wife, Janet of Raleigh and Anna Poteat & husband, Reggie of Flat Rock and ten great grandchildren.
