Roy Bailey

Mr. Bailey, 74, of 335 Crow Rd. Shelby, NC passed away Thursday at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. He was employed by Spring City Knit, and a veteran of the U. S. Army. Mr. Bailey was preceeded in death by his parents George Bailey & Ruth Hardin Bailey, a brother Jake Bailey, and a great grandchild Sierra Wright.
Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife Edith Bridges Bailey of the home, sons; Randy Bailey & wife Sherry of Shelby, David Bailey & wife Reneea of Vale, Danny Bailey of Blacksburg, SC, Larry Bailey & wife Christie of Shelby, daughters Teresa Gantt & husband Larry of Lawndale, Sharon Nivens & husband Donnie of Gaffney and Sandra Bailey of Shelby and like a daughter Angie Cannon. In addition to these, he is also survived by brothers; J. P. Bailey & wife Irene of Rutherfordton, Clifford Bailey & Norman Bailey & wife Beverly of Forest City, George Henry Bailey & wife Patsy of Sunshine, Dennis Bailey & wife Shelby of Forest City, sisters; Jean Bailey of Boiling Springs, Barbara Randolph & husband Perry of Shelby and Pam Thomas of Gaffney. His grandchildren are Travis Bailey, Stacey Bailey, Katie Sparks, Kinsey Gantt, Matthew Bailey, Haven Bailey, Bobby Wright & Leslie Wright and 5 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
