Ronald Thomas

Mr. Thomas, 64, of 2420 White Oak Drive, Shelby, NC passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Darlington, SC, Mr. Thomas retired from Jefferson Smurfit where he was a shipping clerk. He was a member of Lattimore Baptist Church and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and Nascar fan.

Mr. Thomas was preceeded in death by his parents Raymond Stanley Thomas Sr. & Ruby Lee Williams Thomas, a brother Raymond Stanley Thomas Jr. and a sister Cheryl Thomas Branch.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Wright Thomas of the home; sons, Wayne Thomas & wife, Lynn of Shelby; Kenny Thomas & wife, Paige of Lattimore; Marty Thomas & wife, Tina of Boiling Springs. Sister Jeannie Huffstickler & husband, Red of Hampstead, NC and grandchildren, Emma Thomas, Kent Dyer, Austin Thomas, Ethan Thomas, Maggie Thomas, Keely Thomas & Sarah Thomas. He was affectionately know by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins as "Dooley".
