Roger Carver

Mr. Carver, 58, of Shelby, NC, went home to be with his Lord Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Hickory, he retired from PPG Industries where he worked in the Science & Techonology Department. He was currentlly employed as a truck driver for Sterling Transport. He was a member of White Harvest Ministry Baptist Church where he was a deacon and was also a member of Cleveland Masonic Lodge 202. Mr. Carver was preceeded in death by his parents Willis Carver & Sally Kimble, and a daughter Anita Lemmons. Mr. Carver is survived by his wife Linda Jenkins Carver of the home, a son Wayne McGinnis-Melton of Bostic, NC, two daughters and their husbands Angela Greene & Rev. Joseph Greene of Mooresboro, NC, and Melanie Hicks & Randy of Shelby, NC. His grandchildren are Robert, Carla, Ginalyn, William, Dustin, Krista, Cassidy, Brad, Kayla & Kasey, and 6 great grandchildren. Also Mr. Carver has a sister and her husband Diane Huffman & John of Hickory, NC. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Joseph Greene.
