Roger Baldwin

Mr. Baldwin, 66, of Shelby, NC, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Rutherford County, NC, he was a retired self employed merchant and a member of Race Path Baptist Church. Mr. Baldwin was preceded in death by his parents lawrence Baldwin & Joyce Morehead Baldwin and a grandson Josh Cole. Mr. Baldwin is survived by his wife Sharon Hoppes Baldwin of the home, a son and his wife Bradley Baldwin & Lauren of Shelby, two daughters Tammy Curtis and husband Scott of Rutherfordton, and Janet Baldwin also of Rutherfordton, three sisters Marsha Turner, Sandra Baldwin, & Ronda McCraw and husband Phillip all of Shelby. In addition to these Mr. Baldwin's grandchildren are Kyle Curtis, Kendall Curtis & Paige Cole, and great grandchildren Addison Downey & Calem Curtis, and a father-in-law and mother-in-law Z. B. & Lois Hoppes of Shelby. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Edward Lee. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
