Nellie Capps

Mrs. Nellie Virginia Bell Capps, 87, of Shelby, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at White Oak Manor of Shelby. A native of Cherokee County, SC she is the daughter of the late Clyde Ransom Bell and Elvena Wesson Bell. She had worked at Ora Mill as a winder. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed working in the yard and visiting friends. She was a member of Second Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Fred Capps; son, Ronald Fred Capps; daughter, Nancy Bridges Campfield; grandson, Joey Capps; three sisters and one brother.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Hamrick and husband Sherrill of Shelby; two sons, Harvey Capps and wife Renee of Grover and Darvin Capps and wife Crystal of Bessemer City; one brother. Tommy Bell and wife Shirley of Shelby; nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
