Nancy Lee Johansen

Mrs. Nancy Lee Johansen, age 78 of Shelby, NC, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family. 

 She is survived by her son, Frank Basile and wife Benita of Shelby, NC, five grandchildren, Nick Basile of Ft. Pierce, FL, Michael Basile of Revenna, OH, Cassi Hartung Basile of Washington State, Joey Hoyle  and wife Brandy of Shelby, NC, and Chelly Peeler and husband Andy of Shelby, NC, seven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

 Born October 23, 1945, in Chicago, IL, Nancy was the daughter of the late Guy Johansen and was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Nancy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed playing bingo and loving on her dog Scooby. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her. 

 A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm, Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Royal Priesthood Biker Church conducted by Johnny Norris.

 Flowers will need to be delivered to the church (634 S. Lafayette Street, Shelby NC 28150) before noon on the service date. 

 In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601.
