Mattie Sanders

Mrs. Mattie Lee Sanders, 88, died at McDowell Hospital on Wednesday, February 29, 2012.  She was born on November 14, 1923 to the late George Mill Self & Dollie Hamrick Self.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Morgan and her second husband, Fred B. Sanders; brothers Carl Self, Coyt Self, Matt Self, Glenn Self & Fred Self and one sister Clara Ungary   She retired from P.P.G.  where she was a twister operator and was a member of Northside Baptist Church.



She is survived by two sons, Latha Robert "Bobby" Morgan, Jr. and William D. "Billy" Morgan both of Shelby; stepsons Fred B. Sanders, Jr. of Akien, SC and Richard E. Sanders of Lexington, SC;  granddaughter Billie Ann Morgan of Hickory Grove, SC, grandsons Jess Morgan & Brian Morgan of Shelby; great grandchildren David Morgan & Nicole Morgan, Jennifer Page, Alexis Morgan, Parker Morgan and special friends Minor Lee Melton, B. B. Baldwin & Amy Davis.
