Mary Jeanette Harris

Mary Jeanette Harris, born on July 15, 1945, in Rutherford County, North Carolina, peacefully went to rest in her Savior's arms on March 24, 2025, at her residence. She lived a life dedicated to caring for others, having built a diligent and compassionate career as a Registered Nurse.

A devoted member of New Hope Baptist Church in Shelby, Mary found great joy in her faith and community. She was known for her loving nature and the immense affection she held for her family. Mary was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who prided herself on the close-knit relationships she built throughout her life.

Left to celebrate her life and carry on her legacy are her son Tim Harris and his wife Crystal; daughters Sheila Williamson and Sharon Robertson, and Dawn Harris all of Shelby; and her brother Zeb Mace. Mary is also remembered fondly by an ever-growing lineage, including her numerous grandchildren: Mark Williamson, Brysan Williamson, Michael Rollins, Matthew Rollins, Christie Ellis, Wade Harris, Autumn Harris, Cynthia Doss, Joey Doss, John Harris, David Harris, and eleven great-grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clyde Donald Harris; her son, Mark Christopher Harris; her parents, Clyde Blanton and Lovada Mace Blanton; and siblings Gene Blanton, Troy Blanton, Ernest Blanton, Michael Blanton, Ruth Jones, and Rachel Morrow.

Her Funeral Service will be held on March 27, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Cleveland Funeral Services & Crematory, located at 2518 W Dixon Blvd in Shelby, NC, officiated by Rev. Russ Bradley, with burial to follow at Green River Baptist Church in Rutherfordton, NC.

Mary leaves behind a lasting impact, celebrated through the memories and teachings she imparted on those who were privileged to know her.
