Marshall Griffin

Mr. Marshall Griffin, 73, of Shelby passed away on

October 6, 2012 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.



A native of Polk County, he was the son of the late Ed

Griffin &  Margie Matthews Griffin who survives.



He was also preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Thomas

Griffin, one brother and three sisters.



He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was employed

by the City of Cherryville for 27 years.  Mr. Griffin enjoyed

Nascar, movies and his computer.  In his younger days he

loved climbing trees.



In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter,

Lydia Griffin Goode and husband, Roger of Shelby;



three sons, Thomas Griffin & wife, Tammy of Shelby,

Jimmy Griffin & wife, Brenda of Statesville, and Gordon

Griffin & wife, Claudette of Shelby;



grandchildren, Kevin Griffin, Brandy Coulter, Justin Griffin,

Mark Griffin, Jessica Griffin, Harley Powell, Emily Griffin,

Krystin Griffin and Matt Griffin; two brothers and three sisters.



The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 10th,

11:00 - 12 Noon, at Faith Baptist Church.  The funeral will

follow at noon.



Dr. Barry Goodman & Rev. Johnny Owens will

officiate.



Burial will be in Faith Baptist Church Cemetery.
