SHELBY - Marjorie H. Ashley, 86, passed away July 7, 2013, at White Oak Manor of Shelby.
She was born Sept. 1, 1926, in Cleveland County, was a homemaker and member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church, she also attended Lattimore High School. She was preceded in death by parents, Luther G. Haynes and Beulah Crowder Haynes; husband, James Ashley Jr.; brothers, A.V. Haynes and Glenn Haynes; sister, Ophelia Ledford; nephew, Kevin Haynes.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Pam Powell & Rodney of Valdese; niece, Brenda Gettys of Shelby; niece, Judy Albrigh of Lincolnton; nephew, Neil
Haynes of Forest City. She is also survived by a number of great nieces and nephews.
