Lynn Judy Gibbs Cor, of Shelby, NC, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2026, at her residence in Shelby. She was born on October 13, 1967, in Shelby, NC.
Lynn will be remembered as a woman whose greatest joy was found in the people she loved. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and she especially loved cooking for her family, sharing care and comfort in ways that brought everyone together. She enjoyed playing with her dogs, found meaning in caring for her mother, and also enjoyed being outside working in the yard. These simple and steady joys reflected a life centered on love, devotion, and home.
Her memory will be cherished by her children, Tiffany Chapman and husband Donnie of Shelby, NC, Wayne Ledbetter and wife Jennifer of Boiling Springs, NC, Chris Ledbetter and wife Twyla of Lawndale, NC, and Shandi Gibbs of Shelby, NC. She also leaves behind a beloved circle of grandchildren: Madison Mathis and fiancé Hiro Byars of Shelby, NC, Matthew Ledbetter, Brayden Ledbetter, Gavin Ledbetter, all of Boiling Springs, NC, Meysen Chapman of Shelby, NC, Brysen Chapman of Shelby, NC, Corbin Ledbetter of Blacksburg, SC, Carsen Chapman of Shelby, NC, and Addie Short of Lawndale, NC. In addition, she is survived by her great-grandchildren, Leo Byars and Opal Byars, who continue her family’s legacy with the next generation.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Thomas Gibbs, and her brother, William Reggie Gibbs.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on September 1, 2026, from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Cleveland Funeral Services in Shelby. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 5:00 pm at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Ron Culbertson.
Lynn will be remembered with love for her caring heart, her devotion to family, and the warmth she brought to those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
