Lyda Hamrick

Mrs. Lyda Hamrick, 90, of Shelby, NC, passed away at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center on

Wednesday, November 7, 2012.  A native of Burke County,  she was the daughter of the

late John Moses & Mary Chapman Moses Gibson.   She retired from Lily Mill Company

where she was a thread doffer.  She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church where

she was a member of the W.M.U.



In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A. V. Hamrick;

and a sister, Helen Underwood.



She is survived by a son, Wayne Hamrick of Shelby; and a daughter, Donna Graham

Austell & husband, Nick of Earl; a grandson, Josh Graham; a step granddaughter,

Melissa Bradshaw; a step great granddaughter, Kayla Bradshaw; and a niece,

Valerie Underwood.



The family will receive friends, Friday, November 9, 2012, 2:00 - 3:00 pm.



The funeral will follow in the Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel at 3:00 pm.

Dr. Paul Sorrells & Rev. Phil Hughes will officiate.



Burial will be in the Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery.
