Lois Gertrude Gantt

Lois Gertrude Gantt, of Shelby, North Carolina, passed away on October 29, 2026, at her residence in Shelby. She was born on December 8, 1933, in Russell County, Virginia.

Lois will be remembered for the love she gave so freely to the people around her. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and she found special joy in her grandchildren. Her life was also marked by a caring spirit and a devotion to helping others, and she was known for being a caregiver to those in need.

Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Gantt, a daughter, Christina Gantt, and three siblings

Lois is survived by her children, Judy Rogers (David), Mary Mages (Joseph), and Jody Gantt.  She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

Those who knew Lois will remember her warmth, her kindness, and the comfort of her presence. The time she shared with family and friends created lasting memories, and the care she extended to others was a quiet but meaningful reflection of the way she lived.
