Linda Rivers

Linda Faye Brackett Rivers, 66, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She was born in Cleveland County on Oct. 5, 1947. She was a homemaker, caregiver and member of Faith Baptist Church.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Fay Edgar and Louise Newton Brackett; her son Gary Cooper; and grandson Christopher Cooper.

Rivers is survived by her sons, Robert (Martha) Cooper of Gastonia and Donnie (Carrie) Cooper of Hickory; daughter, Tracy (Paul) Lanier of Kings Mountain; brother Keith (Linda) Brackett; grandchildren, Randy Cooper, Stephanie Champion, Anthony Pruitt, Brad Cooper, Gerald, Courtney Lanier, Ashley and Brittani Hudson, Chrissy Lanier, Paula Creighton and Gina Short; great-grandchildren Madison, Mariah, Bryson, Chayleigh, Sidney, Laney, Bryson, Mason, Bailey, Braxton, Hunter, Schyler, Ayden, Jayce, Morgan, Austin, Alyssa, J.P., Alex, M.J. and Alexis; nephew, the Rev. Jeremy (Jennifer) Brackett; and numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
