Kimberly Ann Dobbins

Sep 5, 1959 — Aug 11, 2026

Kings Mountain, NC

Kimberly Ann Dobbins, beloved mother, “Mimi”, cherished daughter, and treasured friend, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Atrium Health in Shelby, NC. Born on September 5, 1959, in Shelby, North Carolina, Kimberly spent her life surrounded by the love of her family, the fellowship of her community, and the strength of her enduring faith.

Kimberly was the daughter of Faye Dobbins and the late Harold Dobbins Sr. She grew up in Shelby, forming deep roots in the community that would nurture her kind spirit and steadfast character. Throughout her life, Kimberly shared a special bond with her late sisters, Sheree McCallister and Renee Dobbins, and she honored their memory in how fully and lovingly she lived each day.

Faith was central to Kimberly’s life. She was a faithful member of Elizabeth Baptist Church, where her warmth, caring nature, and unwavering belief were evident to all who worshipped alongside her. The church community was of great importance to Kimberly, providing her with steadfast support and an extended family that meant the world to her.

Kimberly found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly spending time at the lake, Carolina Panthers games, and Ocean Lakes, Myrtle Beach with family. She made sure traditions were kept and holidays were always special. She loved to host and cook, making each moment into a memory for her family.

Family was the cornerstone of Kimberly’s life. She is survived by her children, Chase Bridges and wife Allison of Mooresville, NC, and Austin Bridges of Shelby, NC. Kimberly was also a proud “Mimi” to Cayden, Aubrey, and Breianna Bridges. She never missed her grandchildren’s sporting events and was always the first to cheer but also the loudest. Time spent with her family and friends-whether gathered around a table or celebrating milestones-brought Kimberly endless joy and fulfillment. Kimberly is also survived by her husband, Tony Berry, and brother, Lewis "Buster" Harold Dobbins Jr. and wife Ambra of Shelby, NC.

Kimberly’s legacy of love, kindness, and steadfast devotion will long be remembered by those whose lives she touched. In addition to her children, and grandchildren, she is survived by her mother, Faye Dobbins who held a special place in her heart.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Kimberly’s remarkable life during a Celebration of Life service, which will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Elizabeth Baptist Church, 301 N Post Rd, Shelby, NC 28152 conducted by Rev.
