Julius Hoyle

Julius Porter Hoyle, age 78, of Shelby, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County he is the son of the late Miles Fred Hoyle Sr. and Edith Inez Murry Hoyle. He was Captain of Boiling Springs Rescue Squad for more than 30 years. He was also a previous member of Boiling Springs Rural Fire Department. Mr. Hoyle enjoyed gardening and going camping with his family. He was a member of Springmore Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Holland Hoyle; three brothers, M.F. Hoyle Jr., David Hoyle, and Murry Hoyle; one sister, Sally Hoyle Pearson; grandson, Jonathan Hope; great grandson, Jason Peace Hope.

He is survived by two daughters, Debra Hoyle Hope of Shelby and Cynthia Hoyle Jones and husband David of Shelby; sister, Edith Hoyle of Fallston; brother, Roger Hoyle of Belwood; grandchildren, Scott Jones and fiancé Jennifer of Mooresboro, Karla Terry and husband Kenny of Ellenboro, Jason Hope and wife Brooke of Elm Creek, NE, Ashley Freeman and husband Jonathan of Shelby, Thaniel and Charlie Hope of Kings Mountain, and Peggy Trammel of Cherryville; seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
