Judy Mckinnon

Judy Ann Bridges McKinnon, age 63, of Shelby, died on Sunday, December 22, 2013, at Wendover Hospice House. A native of Cleveland County, she is the daughter of the late Gordon Bridges and Emma Lee Clary Bridges. Ms. McKinnon loved spending time with her grandchildren and telling stories with her sisters. She also loved to read. She had worked at Fiber Industries for six years and Duke Power for 17 years until her retirement. Following her retirement, she worked for the Cleveland County Health Department for eight years. She was a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class. She was a lifelong plasmapheresis donor with the American Red Cross.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Karen Costner and husband Wesley of Shelby; grandchildren, Logan Costner and Landon Costner; step-son, James Wright of Petaluma, CA; two sisters, Brenda Mull and husband Randy and Vickie Wyatt and husband Oren both of Shelby; niece, Sandy Quattlebaum and husband Tim of Shelby; two nephews, Robbie Wyatt and wife Cindy of Kings Mountain and Richie Wyatt and wife Jennifer of Gastonia; five great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her special friends, Curtis Addington and Kay Dority.
