John Dedmon

Mr. John Dean Dedmon, 82, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023 at The Greens at Gastonia. Born in Cleveland County on March 27, 1941, Mr. Dedmon was the son of the late John Daniel and Mattie Grey Dedmon. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Swink Dedmon, and five siblings.

He is survived by one daughter, Karen Dedmon of Shelby, two sons, James Dedmon of Caser, Michael Dedmon of Forest City, three grandchildren, Austin McCutcheon, Amiee Dedmon, Beth Dedmon, several Great Grandchildren.

A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday April 18, 2023, 2pm, in the chapel of Cleveland Funeral Service and Crematory officiated by Rev. Tony Rayfield. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Cleveland Memorial Park immediately following the service.
