Janie Valentine

Mrs. Janie Valenine, 95, of Shelby, NC passed away on October 18, 2011 at Hospice of Cleveland County. A native of Gaston County, she was a homemaker and a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John T. Dameron & Mamie Stroup Dameron; husband, Lonus Valentine, Sr.; grandson, Victor Valentine; brothers, Frank, Madison, Carlos & Luther Dameron. She is survived by her sons, Lonus Valentine, Jr. of Cherryville; Ray Valentine of Shelby; grandchildren, Vivette Leonhardt of Lincolnton; Dane Valentine of Lincolnton; Velvet Champion of Cherryville; great grandchildren, Trenton Champion & Haley Champion A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
