Janette Mullinax Oliver

Janette Mullinax Oliver, 88 of Shelby, NC, was welcomed Home by her Heavenly Father on May 30, 2025.

Janette was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was born January 7, 1937, to Lucille Atkins Mullinax and Labon Mullinax in Gaffney, SC. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold Dean Oliver, a son, Tim Oliver and her siblings, Garland Mullinax, Howard Mullinax, Mildred Humphries, and Carolyn Blackman.

Janette leaves behind to cherish many precious memories and a legacy of faith, kindness, and family, her daughter, Debbie Hamrick (Roger), a son, Jeff Oliver (Kim), and daughter-in-law, Karyn Oliver. Grandchildren, Angel Johnson (Brian), Adrian Hamrick, Roger Hamrick Jr. (Brandie), Patrick Rucker, McKenzie Mowery (Trevor), and Cade Oliver. Great grandchildren, Devin Heath (Kelly), Damon Heath (McKenna), Crawford Hamrick, Emrie Hamrick, and Lawson Hamrick.

Her beautiful ever-present smile and kindness made you feel special and loved. She loved cooking, gardening, reading, flowers, and her cat Smokey. Whether cooking favorites for family and friends or showing up with fresh picked flowers, she brought smiles and joy to others. Heaven is just a little sweeter with her presence.

A visitation will be held from 6:00pm – 8:00pm Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Cleveland Funeral Services in Shelby. A funeral service will be held 11:00am Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Cleveland Funeral Services conducted by Dr. Tim Sims. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Lawndale.
