Hazel Byrd Hollifield Wilson, 90, of Boiling Springs, NC went to be with her Lord
on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Hospice of Cleveland County.
A native of Rutherford County, she was born March 1, 1922, a daughter of the late
Clifford and Zinnie Lovelace Hollifield. She was a member of Cleveland County
Quilters Guild, member of the "Golden Girls," and a member of Sharon United
Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her late husband Carl
Wood Wilson and a granddaughter, Andrea Beth Blackwell. She is survived by
her three children, Beverly Wilson Blackwell and husband, Ron of Boiling Springs,
Thomas Maxwell Wilson and wife Linda of Ellenboro; Dr. Clifford Byron Wilson and
wife Deborah of Boiling Springs; four grandchildren, Steven Blackwell and wife Amber
of Newport, NC; Kathy Wilson Kring of Ellenboro; Jennifer Wilson Allen and husband
Preston of Ellenboro; Travis Wood Wilson and wife Meredith of Oxford; four
great grandchildren, Conner Lela Kring, Jake Wilson, Avery Wilson and Caitlin Allen.
The family will receive friends at Cleveland Funeral Services & Crematory,
Wednesday, October 10, 2012, 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
The funeral will be held at Sharon United Methodist Church, Thursday,
October 11, 2012, 2:30 pm. The body will lie in state thirty minutes before
the service. The Revs. April Abernethy & Scott Huffman will officiate.
Burial will be in Cleveland Memorial Park.
