Harold Carr

Mr. Carr, 75, a native of Old Fort, NC, passed away Saturday June 22, 2008 at his home. His parents were the late Mack Carr & Pansy Cox. He was also preceeded by his wife Carol Dedmon Carr.
Mr. Carr is survived by a daughter Yvonne Russ and her husband James of Earl, NC, a son Darrell Rayfield of Easley, SC, a sister Maxine Hall and husband Gene of Weaverville, NC, grandson and wife Dustin Kelly & April of Bessemer City, NC, grandsons Kyle Kelly of Bessemer City, NC and Wesley Russ of Earl, NC, and a great granddaughter Hannah Kelly of Bessemer City, NC. In addition to these he is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Carr was retired from Shelby Mill Co. as a weaver, and had worked at the Hotel Charles as manager, desk clerk and bookkeeper.He was a veteran of the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict and a member of the American Ligeon and the D. A. V.
