Geraldine Mccurry

Mrs. McCurry, 72, of 701 Hillwood Street, Shelby, NC, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at her home. Mrs. McCurry was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and loved the Lord. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Willie "Bill" Green & Etta Church Green. She worked as a spinner at Ora Mill Company until it closed and was a member of Abundant Life Church of God in Shelby.
In addition to her parents Mrs. McCurry was preceeded in death by two brothers Jack Lee Green & Floyd Arnold Green.

Mrs. McCurry is survived by her husband James Boyd "Jim" McCurry of the home, two sons Scott McCurry & wife Jamie, James Boyd "Jimmy" McCurry Jr., two daughters Debra Spurling and husband Randy, and Rita Hayes & husband Larry all of Shelby, N. C., and a sister Shirley Dover of Kings Mountain, NC. In addition to these her grandchildren are Andy Spurling, Travis Spurling, Chris Hayes & Shennon Hayes, and great grandchildren; Seth Spurling, Saradh Spurling, Ann Marie Spurling, Matt Spruling, Mackenzie Hayes & Ethan Hayes.

Funeral services will be conducted by the Revs. Bobby Callaham & Allen Davis.
