Florence Wright

Mrs. Wright, 90, of 3802 Barrier Drive, Shelby, NC, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2011, at White Oak Manor of Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, Mrs. Wright retired from the Dover Textile Group, was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and a volunteer at the Senior Center. Mrs. Wright was preceeded in death by her parents Charles D. Hicks & Lorie Walker Hicks, her husband Colon Wright, two daughters Barbara Ann and a infant Shelia, a brother Hal Hicks and a sister Dinah Blickley. Mrs. Wright is surived by her son Richard Wright and wife Sherry of Shelby, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Robert Mote, pastor of Way of the Cross Church in Shelby.
