Mrs. Dorothy Carolyn Anthony Penson, 74, of Shelby, passed away on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at White Oak Manor.
A native of Cleveland County, she was a homemaker and member of Flint Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Austin O'Dell Anthony and Lucille Blanton Anthony; her husband, Bobby Joe Penson; her brothers, Joe Herbert Anthony and Robert Donald Anthony; and her sister, Brenda Anthony Randolph.
She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Ivester and husband Steve of Lawndale, and Charlotte Randolph and fiancee Terry Beaver of Shelby; her son, Michael Penson of the home; sisters, Nancy Anthony Poston of Boiling Springs, and Linda Anthony Raynor and husband Randy of Shelby; granddaughter, Ashley Ivester Botts and husband Matthew of Lawndale; great-grandaughter, Madison Botts; and numerous nieces and nephews.
