Dorothy O'Shields

Mrs. Dorothy O'Shields, 89, of Shelby, NC, passed away on Sunday, July 15th at Peak Resources

of Shelby.  A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Homer Wilson and

Lola Farris.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dan H. O'Shields and a sister, Helen

Johnson.  Mrs. O'Shields retired from textiles where she was a secretary and was a member of

Lafayette Street United Methodist Church.  She loved knitting, planting flowers.



She is survived by three sons, Ronald O'Shields & wife, Phyllis of Waxhaw, NC, Wade O'Shields

& wife, Roseanne of Shelby and Dan O'Shields & wife, Glenda of Shelby; grandchildren, Eric

O'Shields & wife, Tonya of Rutherfordton, Stacy Smith & husband, Chris of Kings Mountain

and Julie O'Shields & husband, Scott Parris and also six great grandchildren.



A graveside service will be held Tuesday, 5:00 p.m. at Sunset Cemetery.  The family will receive

friends following the service.
