Doris Eloise Blanton

Doris Eloise Blanton, age 91 of Mooresboro, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 19, 2025.

 She is survived by her children, David Blanton and wife Chris of Mooresboro, NC, and Robert Moore of Conover, NC, a granddaughter, Halie Gulledge and husband Kyle of Hartsville, SC, and four great grandchildren, Emma Gulledge, Riley Gulledge, Kinsely Gulledge, and Noah Gulledge, all of Hartsville, SC.

 Born January 31, 1933, in Rutherford County, NC, Eloise was the daughter of the late Frank Greene and Rosie Greene and was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Burrell Franklin Blanton, a grandson, Eric Cook, a daughter-in-law, Lynn Moore, and four siblings, Bobby Joe Greene, Faye Norman, Carolyn Gosey, and Bonita Ashe.

 Eloise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a faithful member of Sandy Run Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir. Eloise enjoyed volunteering at Yoke Fellow, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her. 

 A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Sandy Run Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Jeff Queen. A visitation will be held from 1:00pm – 2:00pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
