Connie Edwards

Mrs. Edwards, 74, of 1016 Alpha Drive, Shelby, NC passed away Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Marion, NC, she was a homemaker, loving wife of 58 years and a devoted mother of 5 children. Mrs. Edwards was also of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. Edwards was preceeded in death by her parents Jack Currie Sr. & Bertie L. Wilbanks Currie and a brother Jack Currie Jr. Mrs. Edwards is survived by her husband J. C. Edwards of the home, sons and wives Clarence Edwards & Kathy of Lawndale, NC, Tim Edwards & Sherry of Shelby, NC, Keith Edwards & Cindy of Shelby, NC, daughters and husbands Darlene Davis & Eugene of Shelby, NC, Annette Edwards & Glenn Davis of Shelby, NC and a sister and husband Betty Duncan & James of Lansing. In addition to these Mrs. Edwards is survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchhildren and 1 great great grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Joshua Hunt & Rev. Leoy Melton.
