Charles Bridges

Charles R. Bridges, age 53, of Shelby, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014, at the Brian Center of Gastonia. A native of Cleveland County he is the son of Shirley Clary Bridges and the late Carl Ray Bridges. He had worked for Boundless Transportation as a driver. He was a previous member of Boiling Springs Rescue Squad for 25 years. He loved riding his tractor and working for his church as a deacon and youth leader. He was a member of Goodes Grove Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, W.E. and Kate Weaver Clary and Roy and Inez Bridges.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 17 years, Anesia C. Bridges of the home; mother and father-in-law, Verlon and Hazel Combs of Cana, VA. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
