Cathy Beam

Cathy Vance Beam, 63, passed away on January 4, 2021 at Atrium Health Cleveland.
She is survived by her son, Craig Beam and his wife, Jennifer, two grandchildren, Macy Lee and Josie Byron Beam, all of Shelby, NC, and a sister, Sammie Vance Ellis of Spruce Pine, NC.
Born on September 19, 1957 in Cleveland County, Cathy was the daughter of the late, Sam McClure Vance and Doris Oakalene Buchanan Vance.
Cathy was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. Cathy loved being a nurse and worked at Atrium Health Cleveland with pride for over 40 years.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
