Boyce Champion

Mr. Boyce Ray Champion, 74, passed away on January 12, 2013, at his home. He was the son of the late Egar Champion and Lela Wright Champion. Mr. Champion had worked for Electric Motors for several years. He enjoyed working in his shop and driving his car.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Peggy Joan Peeler Champion; two sons, Mark Champion and wife, Sharon and Allan Champion & girlfriend, Chyrel Dibble, all of Shelby; three sisters, Vernie Houser, of Charlotte, Brenda Marlow of Gastonia, and Diane Earwood and husband, Robert of Double Shoals; two brothers, Hal Champion and wife Joan of Double Shoals and Raymond Champion and wife, Eva Lou; of Shelby; and grandchildren, Heather Houser & Husband, John of Polkville, Amy Champion and boyfriend, Mitchell Williams, Josh Champion & fiance, Jasa Bowman; great grandchildren, Katlyn Paige Houser and Hayden Drew Houser; and numerous nieces and nephews.
