Betty Queen

Mrs. Queen, 76, of Shelby, North Carolina, passed away Friday, July 9, 2010 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of McDowell County, NC, she retired from Celanese where she was a spinner. She was a member of Davidson Memorial Baptist Church and attended Faith Baptist Church. Mrs. Queen was preceded in death by her parents James Noles & Nita Clayton Noles, her husband Billy Eugene Queen, a son Jimmy Eugene Queen, and a daughter Debra Queen Bridges, five brothers and one sister. Mrs. Queen is survived by a granddaughter Tori Bridges of Shelby, a sister Shirley Ann Morgan of Michigan, a grandson Matthew Queen of Columbia, SC, and a great granddaughter Charlotte Bridges of Shelby, NC. In addition to these she is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted by the Dr. Barry Goodman, pastor of Faith Baptist Church of Shelby, NC.
