Bertha Pruett

Mrs. Pruett, 92, of Crawley Memorial Hospital, formally of 2634 Rockford Road, Shelby, NC, passed away Wednesday 9-3-2008 at Crawley Memorial. She was a native of Cleveland County, and was preceeded in death by her parents Lucion Blanton & Sallie Scruggs Blanton. In addition to her parents she was also preceeded in death by her husband William Willie C. Pruett; sons, Nelson Victor Pruett and Forest Crowder Pruett; grandsons Mark Pruett & Bruce Fortenberry; a great granddaughter Lindsay Robbins, brothers Harland Blanton, Collis Blanton, & Quinton Blanton, and sisters Verdie Pearson & Arvie Blanton.
Mrs. Pruett was a homemaker and a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church where she was in the choir.
Mrs. Pruett is survived by two sons and their wives; Roy Pruett & Shirley of Shelby, Glenn Pruett & Linda of Forest City, a daughter and her husband Hilda Hyleman and Bob of Shelby, and a daughter-in-law Susie Pruett of Gray Court, SC. In addition to these she has a brother and wife Ralph Blanton & Selma of Shelby, sisters Virginia Holland of Forest City, Ethel Ledbetter, Geneva Ledbetter & husband Ray, Grace Francis & husband Clem all of Shelby and a sister-in-law Louise Blanton Mull of Belmont, she is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren & 1 great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Keith Dixon & Dr. Wayne Stacy.
