Arthur Thomas Kirkendall Jr.

 Mr. Arthur Thomas Kirkendall Jr., age 92 of Shelby, NC, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 26, 2025.

 He is survived by his children, Tonya Kirkendall of Lexington, NC, Pat McDonald and husband Neil of Thomasville, NC, and Mark Kirkendall and wife Myra of Shelby, NC, seven grandchildren, Tim Callahan and wife Trish of Unicoi, TN, Jason Callahan and wife Kara of Canton, NC, Jeramie Proctor of Ogdon, UT, Robin Bracco and husband Charlie of Cherryville, NC, Tyler McAlister of Hudson, FL, Heather Kirkendall of Gaffney, SC, and Jessica Kirkendall of Gaffney, SC, thirteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandson, two brothers, Steve Kirkendall and wife Sheila of Shelby, NC, and Spencer Kirkendall and wife Brenda of Bellwood, NC.

 Born February 29, 1932, in Rutherford County, NC, Arther was the son of the late Arthur Thomas Kirkendall Sr. and Bertha Thrift Kirkendall and was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Cash Kirkendall, a great grandson, Caleb Fox, and two brothers, John Kirkendall and Ray Kirkendall.

 Tom was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a man of God and enjoyed helping and encouraging others. Tom proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He always brought a smile to your face and will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

 A funeral service will be held 1:30pm Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Westwood Heights Baptist Church in Shelby conducted by Rev. David Costner. A visitation will be held from 12:00pm – 1:00pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park
