Mrs. Anous Baker Jackson, 93, of Shelby, NC, passed away on January 7, 2013 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late Burdett Sid Baker and Julia Etta Styles Baker, she was retired from Lily Mills where she was a winder operator. She was a member of Lily Memorial Baptist Church, and enjoyed playing bingo, card games and fishing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Jackson; a son, Sidney Leon Jackson; four brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by a son, Rhoney Jackson & wife Darla of Chatsworth, GA; a daughter, Revonda Booth & husband Louis of Shelby; 6 grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; 8 great, great grandchildren and 3 step great, great grandchildren.
