Annice Wilson Allen

Mrs. Annice Jean Wilson Allen, 70 of Shelby, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System in Shelby.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn Allen of the home, a son, Joseph Ray Allen of Los Angeles, CA, a brother, Ray Wilson of Shelby, NC, a sister, Betty Grant of Shelby, NC, and a special cousin, Deloria Leigh of Kings Mountain, NC.
Born October 26, 1946 in Cleveland County, Mrs. Allen was the daughter of the late Ben P. "Doc" and Faye Willis Wilson and was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Wilson.
Mrs. Allen attended Old Rugged Cross Baptist Church in Shelby. Annice was an Extra Class amateur radio operator where her call sign was KG4ZEM. She enjoyed working on word search puzzles. She loved spending time with her family and friends (Donald Weaver and his wife Margaret) at the beach and flea markets and will be truly missed by those that knew her.
Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Friday, April 28, 2017 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel conducted by Rev. Jerry Allen and Rev. Kenneth Queen. A visitation will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
