Alma Wellmon

alma "Mama Jane" Queen Wellmon, age 93, died on February 2, 2009 at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville, SC. A native of Cleveland County, she retired from Dover Textiles and was a member of Manna Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vester Leroy Queen and Ada Elizabeth McMurry Queen; spouse, W. B. Wellmon; sister, Margaret McGinnis; brothers, Vetus Queen, J. D. Queen, Fletcher Queen, A. V. queen and Joe Queen.
She is survived by her son, Carl B. Wellmon and his wife, Donna of Greenville, SC; grandsons, Chris B. Wellmon and his wife, Robin of Greer, SC; Tim B. Wellmon & wife, Debbie of Greenville, SC; granddaughter, Lisa Garris and her husband, Kim of Greenville, SC; sisters, Ida Wallace, Mary Dyer & Doris Dyer all of Shelby and Minnie Greene of Rutherfordton. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren & 3 great great grandchildren.
